Coaches Comments ...

Copy of a letter to Coach Harold:

I greatly appreciate you assistance regarding the football camp to be held in July for all youth football players ages 6-13.  Thia skills camp is open to any youth player flay and tackle and is designed to enhance the basic skills of each player.  I hope to attract both coaches and players so that the experience can be a solid and well experienced camp.  It is my intent to address all aspects of youth football.  I have asked as many coaches in the area to be involved with the camp and I welcome al those interested in further the skills of our local youth to step up and volunteer their knowledge of the game.  I will host a planning meeting in June to structure the itinerary and refine the camp program.  I am seeking specific concentrated specialists in their respective areas of the game as to direct the content and drills utilized to enhance the knowledge of the attendees.

I have asked the head of the Southern Oregon Officials Association to delegate representatives to address both the coaches and athletes on the rules of the game, so that there is a better understanding of the rules at each level of competition.  I have asked Steve Zerkle of Medford Sports Injury to address the coaches as to how to identify and treat the most basic injuries on the field, as well as, how to build a first aid kit.  I have asked Charlie Le Paris to join us for the Saturday morning session to specifically address training and conditioning as well as agility.  I have spoken with as many people as I can in the valley about this program to entice them to participate in what I hope will soon become not only an annual event, but the premier football preparation tool for our youth athletes in the valley.

Please feel free to include this letter in your web site posting and make it clear that it will take a village to raise a good football player and that all are welcome to help in the development of our youth football athletes.
Thank you,
